Privacy Policy

We only collect information that you explicitly give us:

• Account information: email address and name when you create an account.
• Link data: URLs, custom slugs, and the link settings you configure.
• Workspace data: workspace names, team members, and organisational settings.

This is what is needed to run the service. You control everything you create, and you can delete it at any time.

To give you analytics for your links, we record anonymous click data:

• Click events: timestamp, link ID, and destination URL.
• Geographic data: country, region and city, derived from the IP address.
• Device information: device type, browser and operating system.
• Referrer data: the site that sent the click.
• UTM parameters: the campaign tags carried by your URLs.

Important: we hash every IP address with SHA-256 before storing it, so visitor addresses are never stored or shared in the raw. Analytics are aggregated and belong to your workspace; we do not use them for anything else.

• No data selling: we never sell, rent or monetise your data.
• No data sharing: we do not share your information with third parties except where the law requires it.
• No cross-site tracking: we do not follow visitors around the web or build profiles of them.
• No advertising networks: your links and their analytics are never fed to ad platforms.

We use what you give us only to:

• Provide and maintain the link management and analytics service.
• Process your redirects and deliver the analytics behind them.
• Send service-related messages, such as account and security notices.
• Answer your support requests.
• Improve the platform's performance and reliability.

Your data is stored using industry-standard practices:

• All data is encrypted in transit with TLS.
• Database access is restricted and monitored.
• IP addresses are hashed before they are stored.
• Security reviews and dependency updates happen regularly.

We use Supabase for storage, Upstash Redis for fast redirects, and Tinybird for real-time analytics. All of them run on secure, compliant infrastructure.

• Access: view all of your links, workspaces and analytics at any time.
• Delete: remove individual links, whole workspaces, or your entire account.
• Export: export your link data and analytics (in progress).
• Update: change your account details and link settings whenever you like.

We keep your data only as long as it takes to provide the service. Deleting a link or a workspace deletes its analytics with it, permanently. If you delete your account, everything is removed within 30 days. Business plans keep analytics history for three years, as stated on the pricing page.

We may update this policy from time to time. If a change is material we will tell you by email or with a notice in the product. Continuing to use Switchly after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
