for events and conferences
One code, the whole event
Lanyards, banners and slides get printed once, weeks out. What they need to open changes by the hour. Encode a short link instead of a page, and the same printed code carries registration, the schedule, the livestream and the feedback form - you just aim it.
The same code, all day
Weeks before
Registration
The code goes on posters, invites and social cards, pointing at ticket sales. Scans tell you which channel is actually selling.
On the day
The schedule
Repoint the same code at the agenda. Everyone who scans a lanyard or a banner gets today's rooms and times, not October's ticket page.
During the keynote
The livestream
The room is told to scan for the stream. Same code, edited a minute earlier. If the stream URL changes, so does the link - the lanyards do not.
Afterwards
Feedback, then the recordings
Point it at the feedback form on the way out, and at the talk recordings the week after. The printed material keeps working for as long as you keep aiming it.
Unlimited QR codes and unlimited destination changes on every plan, because repointing the code is the product. The free plan (100 links, 5,000 tracked scans a month, no card) covers a small event; Pro at $15/month raises the scan allowance and keeps a year of analytics for the post-event report.
questions
Can one QR code work for the whole event?
Yes. The code encodes a short link, and the link points wherever the event currently needs: the registration page while tickets are on sale, the schedule on the day, the livestream when the keynote starts, the feedback form afterwards. The lanyards, banners and slides never change.
What happens to the printed materials after the event?
They stay useful. Point the link at the photo gallery, the talk recordings or next year's registration, and every leftover flyer keeps earning. A static code on the same flyer would point at a dead registration page forever.
Can I see how many people scanned, and when?
Yes - scans are counted with time, country and device, so you can watch the spike when the room is told to scan for the livestream, and compare the banner by the door against the code on the slides.
What if the livestream link changes at the last minute?
Edit the destination and every printed code follows within seconds. That is the difference in one sentence: the streaming platform failing an hour before the keynote is an inconvenience, not a reprint of four hundred lanyards.
Do attendees need an app to scan?
No. Any phone camera reads the code and opens the link in the browser, the same as any QR code. Everything dynamic happens on the link's side, not the scanner's.
What does it cost for an event?
The free plan - 100 links and 5,000 tracked scans a month, no card - covers a small event outright. Bigger events mostly want Pro ($15/month) for the higher scan allowance and a year of analytics history, and can cancel after the event without losing the links.
