Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 August 2026

These are the terms you agree to when you use Switchly. We have kept them short and readable, because terms nobody can read protect nobody.

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Switchly you agree to be bound by these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm that you may bind that company.

Your account

You need an account to create links. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your account credentials confidential.
  • Everything that happens under your account.
  • Making sure your use of the service complies with the laws that apply to you.
  • The destinations you point your links at, and the content behind them.

Acceptable use

Switchly shortens and redirects links, which makes it attractive to people with bad intentions. You may not use it to:

  • Distribute malware, phishing pages, or anything designed to deceive the person clicking.
  • Disguise a destination in order to get past a spam filter or a platform's rules.
  • Send unsolicited bulk messages of any kind.
  • Host or point to content that is illegal where you or your visitors are.
  • Reverse engineer, resell or rebrand the service as your own without a written agreement.

We may disable a link or an account that breaks these rules, and we will act on credible abuse reports quickly. Where we can, we will tell you why.

Your content and your links

Your links, destinations and analytics are yours. We claim no ownership of them and we do not use them to build anything of our own. We store and process them only to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for; we do not refund partial periods unless the law where you live requires it.

If you move to a smaller plan, links you have already created keep working. Limits apply to what you create next rather than being applied retroactively to what already exists.

Service availability

We work hard to keep redirects fast and available, and we treat redirect downtime as the most serious kind of failure we can have. Even so, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or discontinue parts of the service. If we retire something you rely on, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Switchly is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use Switchly afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
